Jack has covered Canadian online gambling since 2017. He came to it from retail banking in Winnipeg, where a chunk of his week was spent explaining to customers why a transfer had not landed yet — which turns out to be most of what matters about an online casino.

For this page he opened an account at all fifteen operators from a Manitoba IP address, deposited the smallest amount each cashier would take, claimed or declined the welcome offer, and then withdrew. What each site asked for before paying, and how long it took afterwards, is recorded per operator.

He is not a lawyer. Where this page touches regulation it points at the AGCO and iGaming Ontario rather than paraphrasing the Criminal Code.

How These Canadian Casinos Are Tested

Method

Jack tests from Manitoba with a Canadian bank account and a Canadian IP address. Every operator gets the same run: register, deposit the minimum, request a withdrawal. Where a site demanded documents before releasing funds, that wait is counted in the total rather than excluded from it.

  1. 01RegisterAn account is opened from a Canadian IP address using Canadian details.
  2. 02Deposit the minimumThe smallest amount the cashier will accept, in the currency the site quotes.
  3. 03Claim or decline the offerThe welcome offer is taken or refused, and the wagering multiple is recorded from the terms.
  4. 04Request a withdrawalWhich documents are demanded, and at what point, is recorded.
  5. 05Count the waitFrom request to funds in the account, including any document check.

What This Site Does Not Claim

Jack is not a lawyer and nothing here is legal or tax advice. Where this site touches regulation it points at the AGCO and iGaming Ontario rather than interpreting the law for you.

The operators ranked here are offshore. They are not licensed by iGaming Ontario or any Canadian regulator, and a dispute is handled by whichever authority issued the operator its licence.

Where an operator does not publish a figure the cell is left empty rather than filled with an estimate. An empty cell means unpublished, not zero.

19+ in most of Canada; 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. The operators listed here are licensed offshore and are not licensed by iGaming Ontario or any Canadian regulator. This site earns a commission through the links on this page, which does not affect the order of the ranking or the figures recorded above. Gambling should be entertainment, not a way to make money. If it has stopped being entertainment, ConnexOntario is on 1-866-531-2600 and the Responsible Gambling Council lists provincial support services.
